As the author of the Midna arc waaaay back when, I do recall some of the other of the musicians mentioned in EVE lore.
First, there's Amelia Piroette, a Gallente folksinger who was mentioned during the Criliere Scientist arc. You can find out more about her here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Amelia_Piroette
Second, there was a Gallente rock band named Starved Fedo that was utilized in a few AURORA events and may have been mentioned in a few news articles. Their lead singer had the stage name Halo Axegrinder.
There are probably a few others mentioned from time to time through news articles and in sources such as the Chronicles and E-ON, but they're not anything I recall off the top of my head. CCP Eterne | Community Representative

Yes. I used to be a member of ISD Mercury before being hired as part of the Community team. The Midna arc was one of the many things I worked on back then. CCP Eterne | Community Representative

I'm glad you liked the arc. I can't really comment on what I'm going to be doing in the future as it comes to backstory stuff. CCP Eterne | Community Representative

The Amarr do not ban non-religious music, but as mentioned, it's a matter of popularity. Certain topics would also be considered taboo among the Amarr (sex, drugs, and rock n roll are right out). CCP Eterne | Community Representative

It's a funny thing...
Back when I was doing the Midna story arc, one of the other Mercury dudes was like "Oh, hey, I know a really good singer and I bet I could convince her to record a song for us to release" and I was like "Hell yes!" but then it fell through for various reasons.
As for me, you wouldn't want to hear me sing. At my best, I am an out-of-tune Brian Molko. CCP Eterne | Community Representative
